QueryVision & Open ID Connect for Cognos
Open ID Connection 1.0 for Cognos 10.2.X
QueryVision has been working with a large European Pharmaceutical distributor on supporting IBM Cognos 10.2.X in a Open ID Connect web solution for Partners and External Customers that incorporates Cognos with an External Gateway and Open ID Connect suport.
The QueryVision solution extends the Cognos Custom Authentication Provider Architecture, integrating Open ID Connect support with an existing Cognos Authentication Namespace (e.g. Active Directory, LDAP), avoiding porting and synchronizing their users, groups and roles to a new Authentication Provider (e.g. ADFS).
The additional benefit is this allows the customer to mix and match access to Cognos via Open ID Connect and existing Namespace solutions with simple configuration changes.
